There are a few new things on the website that you may or may not have noticed.
First off, and long overdue as far as announcements go, we have a new automated approval system on the website. If you are part of a committee and have informed tech of this, you have received the ability to post committee content. Recently, this also means you have the ability to approve content to appear on the front page. You should see the approval button on the bottom of this post. If you don't, and you'd like to apply for committee access to the website, please send an e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org about it!
Next up, we now have share buttons for social media websites on the bottom of our posts! You will see those below this post as well. Help us get the word out about what's happening with Occupy Chicago!
There is also a small section on the right sidebar showing unapproved content from committees. This will keep you up with the dealings of committees who haven't yet been able to get the approvals together to promote their content to the front page. If you've applied for content creation and approval status, lend your approvals so that we can get each other's content to the front page, where most people will see!
There have been reports that the contact form isn't working properly with Chrome. We are looking into this and hope to have this fixed ASAP. Please bear with us while we work around the quirks of various browsers.
To remove clutter on the website, we will be removing links to committees who still months later have not taken responsibility for their committee areas on the site. We won't be doing this tomorrow, but consider this your heads up: take responsibility or your website presence will be removed.
Have a wonderful holiday!
