Re: Login Problems
I'm still getting logged out on a regular basis. Can you explain again what we spoke about last week? How to log in "properly" to avoid this issue?
If we can't get this resolved I'll put forth my idea again about separating the forums from the front page. I think identity continuity between the front page and these forums is probably less important than getting these forums to a healthy level of discussion and debate.
Thanks,

I don't believe Tech is too busy to respond here even if you can't fix it. You can still respond.

Re: Login Problems
I spent a lot of hours trying to fix this in the past. It's a shitty piece of code tying Drupal and PHPBB together. Contrary to popular(ly parroted) opinion:
It's not the forum (PHPBB)'s fault
It's not that we need to migrate to SMF because SMF rox and PHPBB blowz
An idea that I'd like to bring up at the tech meeting (please make some input on that if you can, good sir) is that we go with Drupal's out of the box forum capability. It might not give us as many bells and whistles, but we don't even use the fucking bells and whistles.
The big issue is not having multiple logins for forum and site. This was a kludgey solution that I think ultimately failed. We can learn from it and move forward!
