I'm writing to note that Rockupy Chicago, a large fundraiser for Occupy that our group has discussed at GA, and which was endorsed by the Occupy Chi Arts and Rec committee, is coming up April 19th - and to see if you guys would be ok with mentioning this/running the event through this website and the Occupy Chicago Facebook page.

The event will take place at the Shrine on the main stage, and features Chicago Blues All Stars, KASIA and Quon (best known from Whiskey GoGo in LA), Mind's Hideaway, and Snake Oil salesmen (fronted by Jimmy from Arts and Rec). We've also booked in on-stage artists, fire dancers, groups like Greenpeace to hire people who want jobs in activism, etc. This is the ticket link: http://www.eventbrite.com/event/3226098347/efblike. 1/2 of all funds raised - or more - will go to Chicago Occupy after basic up-front expenses.
