According to an MSNBC report, in Chicago it is a FELONY to record police officers. Originally the law was about sound recording, and passed because someone might tip off crooks to a raid. But now it includes cell phone videos. A FELONY will severely impact your future, to vote, get a job or get a concealed weapon permit (I know Illinois does not offer those and you may not want one now anyway but don't burn your bridges). It may impact your ability to further work for peace and justice in ways they haven't thought of yet. Don't get a felony record !
