Fallean sent a message using the contact form at http://occupychi.org/contact.

Crossroads has a person on the Board of Directors that works for the Law Firm Mayer Brown. Jennifer Rakstad. This Law Firm could possibly be the most corrupt Business Entity in the World..No Exaggeration..They teach major corporations how to decieve and then puncture civilization with manipulated outcomes to suit the Fortune 100..

Look at the link that I attached.

Don't know what your beef is with Mayer Brown, but they are a BIG employer here in Chicago and around the world. Their pro bono work is unbelievable, their philanthopy is amazing, and Jennifer rocks. The link shows a romance page for the firm. So what? Get one from Sidley, get one from Vedder Price, get one from Kattin Muchin--they all do work on behalf of their clients. That's what they get paid for. What does that have to do with OWS? Don't start bad-mouthing individual firms--some of us work there.

Let me spell it out for you!

1.Halliburton employs people and so do many other greedy corporations.

2. Pro Bono work is a front for the deceptive practices of Mayer Brown. Everyone that works at this Law Firm is a co-conspirator. They all share in the profits!

3. Clients include 50% of the Worlds Largest Banks, 3 of the 4 Largest Stock Exchanges in the World and Most of the Fortune 100......

They say so on their web site....Its absolutrely Disgusting to be associated with anyone at this Law Firm!!!!!

Interesting points brought up. But first.

The occupy movement is not one in the same with Occupy Wall Street. Meaning how they manage and do their day to day businesses is separate from occupy Chicago, Occupy Melbourne , Occupy Sidney, Occupy London, Occupy Montreal, Occupy Toronto, Occupy Vancover, Occupy Seattle, Occupy Oakland, Occupy Austin, Occupy D.C. Occupy L.A. etc.

Now is this firm handling donations for Occupy Chicago? No. The only thing all of these groups have in common is the name "occupy" and some of the same grievances. Criticizing Occupy Chicago for what Occupy Wall Street is doing or conducting business is almost like Attacking Trinity Baptist Church for what Unity Baptist Church is doing. They are all baptist but run independently of each other. The same wouldn't apply to Catholics unless they are one of the break away Catholics who do not fall under the Vatican.

If Occupy ever attempts to merge all of those different groups into one huge multinational non profit THEN the other groups will have to decide if they want to be involved with OWS due to the things you have brought up or if they want to remain independent like they are now. For those who are unaware that all of these groups are independent of each other this information you presented if it is true could easily be used to sway people away from Occupy Southside Occupy Naperville Or occupy Chicago thinking they are all one big organization.

Some kind of way I believe OWS donations SHOULD be going into a Credit union or a community bank.

Look, I think Mark D and Dreadsen bring up really good points, but it is a distraction from one of the ONLY statements and main stated objective of Occupy.

We want money out of politics and an end to corprate greed...

Mayer Brown is the protector of the Biggest Banks, Biggest Corporations we're talking a Large portion of the Fortune 100, and 3 of the 4 largest Stock Exchanges... PERIOD!!!

Mayor Brown is fosering what Occupy DIRECTLY stands against...

I actually replied in the other thread with the same title.

I can' not find any evidence as of yet that they actually "protect" those banks. There are many things lawyers can do for a client. One could be advising a client on the laws about certain projects so they don't break them. These attorneys rarely see a court room.
