Why do people hate corporations so much?  That is misguided energy.  Corporations are just acting in accordance with the current laws set for their behavior and will continue to do so until the LAWS that govern their behavior are changes.  Many of them create a better life for their workers and families and act quite responsible on a social level.  Corporations are not all "bad"!  The influence many of them have over politicians is the problem, but that is currently allowed by our governing system.  It sounds very immature and uninformed to condemn all organizations of people (corporations) who try to create a better life for themselves and their families.

Right, you don't need to be incorporated to have a good life.

I think it is important to mention here that a tactic that is used by the police, FBI and other 3 letter agencies is to commit such acts and make it look like the protesters did it for various reasons. One of which is to justify the violent disbanding of the group or movement. Further it could be used as a means to drain us of our funding.

Some recently declassified documents indicate that during the 1960s the FBI actively engaged in activities to create tension between white and black Americans. It was stated in the document that if the two groups ever got together it would be very bad for business as usual in the government. I wish I could remember where I saw this document but I am way too busy to go looking for it now.

My point is that we must be on the look out for troublemakers. tonight while on the march I saw some people in our group banging on anything in their path to make noise and doing so very aggressively. One of the white shirt cops stopped one of them. I think we should mention how we are non-violent and respectful of others and trying to grow the group and maintain a good image. We should talk about mentioning that we are a group and not just individuals and what we do as individuals reflects on the group. We should also consider mentioning that people should be on the look out for that type of behavior and stop it if possible or at least report who did or is doing it to someone that can handle the situation.

This may need to involve the press committee or to be created PR committee and certainly should involve the de-escalation committee and maybe the police liaison committee and almost certainly legal committee.

What ever way we decide to word it or advise non-participants to handle it I think it should be said before every march.

I think this should be discussed in several committees and obviously the organizing committee will need to get involved.
