Open an account at Chase

My idea is the opposite of taking your money out of the banks.

What if we all OPEN accounts at the largest banks as a way of costing them money? Usually the minimum to open an account is $25-$50. You could open an account, then withdraw all of your money and close it a few days later after they print your free checks and do all the paperwork. Even better if you add a savings account. They would have to send you a tax statement at the end of the year telling you they paid you $0.00 in interest.

The second idea is based on Civil Rights area "shop ins". How about if we make a practice of buying products from the most irresponsible stores, then returning the items a few days later? If you put it on credit then either the store or the bank that backs the credit care is getting burned on transaction fees and paperwork. It never costs you anything as long as you purchase early in your billing cycle. That way the debit and credit end up on the same statement.

I'm not opposed to new ideas and think we should consider things such as these.

However, I don't think that opening bank accounts is a tremendous burden for large banks. I suppose if a lot were done, this would disrupt things peacefully

As for the shop ins - my impression was that those largely led to aggravations and the public saw them more as petty (legal) vandalism acts. I could be mistaken on that.

I think the shop-ins idea in this day would not be effective because the people it would hurt the most are the employees, which are the 99% percent. They would have to do all the work re-processing and restocking all the crap giving them even more stress than they deserve. I have a lot of experience in retail and processing returns are always a bitch. Also, I don't think the fees involved with that would hurt our targets which most likely be major corporations which can absorb that kinda thing easily.
I do like the creativity though.

Unfortunately, the elite insulate themselves with their employees. Almost any action we take will have more of a direct impact on the 99% than on the 1%, though action that impacts their bottom line is a good trade off. Yes, we create work for the employees by returning things, but on the other hand that might get people the extra hours they are looking for and make it harder for companies to lay people off. We can increase work and decrease their profits at the same time.

Watch this: Debt as Money: Youtube

If my understanding of the system is correct, that few days is all they need to increase their loans by the amount you deposited.

Want to do something smart with your money? Get the title to all that you can now, that means owning a home free and clear, car, whatever, buy solar panels/other means of energy production, get the ability to grow your own food, buy guns/ammo.

Purchase these things while your money still has value.
