Michael Moore's agent = Rahm's brother (Ari Emanuel)
Re: Michael Moore's agent = Rahm's brother (Ari Emanuel)
Were rumors true that Mayor Rahm receive $18 million as Investment Banker with no financial background just a bachelor's degree in dance from the most expensive College in America (Sarah Lawrence in NYC) and master's in speech degree --- while also serving on the Board of Fannie Mae (USA's Real Estate Lender) ? Is this fact or fiction?
If these rumors are true - is it likely that Michael Moore is truly independent?

As for the Nader clip... It appears your missing the fact that if Nader hadn't run in 2000, we would of had Al Gore in lieu of Bush. Imagine that! Someone who (like Nader) supports environmental protection and wouldn't be swayed by corporate dollars to destroy it. Do you think Gore would of invaded Iraq to appease war profiteers? He may of actually read the report titled "Osama Bin Laden determined to attack the United States" ,given to Bush on august 6th 2001, explaining that Bin Laden was planning to hijack planes to attack us. Its possible preventative initiatives could have taken place. This brings Maher and Moore's point into place that a vote for Nader under our current system is taking away from any progress. You might as well have voted for Bush. I deeply respect Ralph Nader and agree with him on most issues but feel that the greatest point in the clip was made by Kim Campbell. There are more efficient ways to have your issues supported than how he has went about it.
Now the majority of us protesting are in the 18 to 30 age group.... The group that votes the least. We can change our political climate with our votes. Here in IL we allowed Mark Kirk to slip into congress. You think that would have happened if our age group voted? No way! Corporations have the dollars, but we have the numbers and with our votes we can make change. This movement is showing those in Washington that appeasing the corporations and oligarchs on Wall Street over their constituents will not be tolerated. So with this old but booming political topic fueled by our demonstrations, we can make are politicians fight for us again.
One of our next steps must be to vote out republicans, who run under the illusion of small government principles and are actually bleeding the poor and middle class dry while feeding to the 1%. You know who's full of $hit.... its obvious. Its the team that will defend tax cuts in high economic growth and cut spending during a recession. Its the team of politicians that consistently consider corporations as people and keynesian economics as controversial. The Republican party has become a unified clown show filled with voodoo economics and public deceivers (I was also going to say bigotry, but that's been around for a while now in the GOP). I understand not all democrats will fight the good fight either, but if our grievances are going to be taken in to fruition by a political party, (I say this with optimism now) its the democrats.
I am not a member of any organized political party. I am a democrat.

this brings me back to Michael Moore. Anything i just said can probably be expressed in one of his films to come or television appearances. Thus getting the good word out to those who are deprived by media engines such as fox news.
I am not under Michael Moore's payroll. Just stating what I believe. I am 25 years old and I live in Evanston IL. I have recently been laid off. Some of my personal goals that align with the movement are seeing an end to Citizens United, Tax loop holes, corporate welfare, deregulation of Wall Street and I support holding the crooks accountable for what they foresaw coming and continued to pursue. I see a disgusting level of income inequality in a country that's supposed to be the greatest in the world. We have the potential. Lets keep up the great work. I am a member of the 99%.

Re: Michael Moore's agent = Rahm's brother (Ari Emanuel)
Failed logic. There were many many many 3rd party candidates in the state of Florida that received votes that could have gone to the democratic party. Many of those candidates weren't even running campaigns across the country.
You are also missing the point that many people wouldn't have voted had Nader not been an option. Al Gore's policies were nowhere near the same as the ones Nader was calling for, its a false equivalency.
Lastly and most importantly. A huge portion of this country doesn't exercise their right to vote. Don't ever blame someone who actually took the time to do so because you didn't like their choice.

Both parties take money from the 1% and work for the 1%. Don't be fooled that the Democrats will put anything into fruition. One reason President Obama was elected was that he said he was going to change how Washington worked. What has he done to do that? All the bailouts were on his clock. He inharited the problems but was the President when the bailouts were passed. While a democrat has been in office two groups have formed that want to change government: Tea Party and OWS. This is a good thing. Finally Americans have got off their butts and taken what is going on seriously. Let's embrace that. Let's do something about it. Occupy should not put hopes and dreams into one political party out of our 2 party system that is failing. Instead stand up to both sides of our 2 party system and demand money out of political campaigns. Unite the American people not alianate.
