I suggest we get a trash bin for spam threads!!

Hey nonlinear,

thanks so much for your help. Currently, there are a bunch of garbage threads that make things more confusing than they have to be and water down our message. I have seen other Occupy forums where all spam threads are not deleted but put into a spam section that is out of the way. Here is an example:

If you scroll down to the bottom you can see how they have a nice trash bin that really helps out. Perhaps we could have a flag system like Craigslist or something that would get rid of spam posts.

Could you help point out the spam? =) Let's dedicate this thread to doing that. Do a good job and we'll recruit some moderators.

We do have a trash bin but it isn't public. Nothing has been moved into it yet. I'm against deleting topics without a trace, but this way we can review it with the mods/admins and make sure it really is spam and not just an opinion someone doesn't agree with.

We don't have to delete them. All that we have to do is move them to the trash section of the forum. They can still be visible. Follow the link I posted for an example that works great.
