Resolution Unwelcoming Hand and Condi
On Monday, November 14th Henry Paulson and Condoleezza Rice are coming to the University of Chicago campus to spread their neoliberal, imperialist ideology...and get paid a handsome fee. The Direct Action Committee--in collaboration with Occupy UChicago--proposes that Occupy Chicago protest in mass on the Midway (park), directly in front of the building where the talk will be help. A rally will start at 6 pm, when the doors to the event open, and will continue until after it ends around 8:45. This rally will feature: chanting, speeches, political theater, and the Monday evening General Assembly. The relocation of the General Assembly will serve to possibly include an new audience to our democracy. This outdoor rally will be coordinated with a smaller indoor action in which U of C students will use the Peoples Mic to give a "counter-introduction" summarizing Hank and Condi's years of service to the 1 percent.

Resolution concerning Occupy Chicago Unwelcoming Hank and Condi:
On Monday, November 14th, Henry Paulson and Condoleezza Rice are coming to the University of Chicago campus to spread their neoliberal, imperialist ideology...and to get paid handsome fees. The Direct Action Committee - in collaboration with UChicago Occupy - proposes that Occupy Chicago protest en masse on the Midway (park), directly in front of the building where the talk will be held. A rally will start at 6 pm, when the doors to the event open, and will continue until after it ends around 8:45. This rally will feature: chanting, speeches by members of various groups, political theater, and the Monday evening General Assembly UChicago Occupy hopes this occasion will facilitate a meeting between Occupy Chicago and the many Southside groups that are and have been fighting for the same kind of social justice that inspires the Occupy movements around the world. The relocation of the General Assembly will serve to open up our democratic process to a new audience. This outdoor rally will happen at the same time as a smaller indoor action at the Paulson/Rice talk, in which U of C students will use the People's Mic to give a "counter-introduction," summarizing Hank and Condi's years of service to the 1 percent.
