Speak to the CEO or your manager. Or file a complaint with HR. Just kidding. What are you talking about?

Corporate? hmmm.... That's a tough one. In order to fix the system, we have to use the system. Especially things like smartphones, laptops, cameras, wi-fi.

If you are going to try to avoid using something from a corporation, good luck. They are everywhere and everything. Hopefully once we get corporations out of politics, we can change some of that.

I would just say that it is something we are going to have to deal with for the time being. As long as we don't become "Occupy Chicago: The Official Occupation of Walmart" I think we will be ok.

I hope this resolved your conflict.

What? Egos and Bureaucracy?

Well then once they fail, the more reasonable people, the people that can stay focused and compromise will be given a chance to get occupychicago running in the right direction.

We need to keep it simple, then SLOWLY grow into some more complex. Trying to do too much, too quickly, will only result in stagnation. AND, if there are egos involved, then this occupation will surely fail.

Occupy Wall Street Succeeded becuz they checked their egos at the door.

A simple question was asked
I have a conflict with the way our group is becoming more corporate everyday whom shall I speak to?

And a convoluted answer was given.

I'd say if the staff in this group doesn't get it together within a few weeks, this site should be disengaged and another started, run by another team, and set up properly to accept donations, etc. This is getting pretty ridiculous.

Who is the staff taking your direction from? The 1%?

This is a loaded question, I think our time is better spent addressing other concerns unless explicit elements of corporate behavior are described.

Committees and working groups are great ways for people to get involved. I personally am not against corporations, just those that put profit before people. There's a lot that occupy chicago can accomplish if we all work together.

I hope this happens soon. Every day I grow more and more disheartened and frustrated.
