Transparency - how did we establish current framework?
Re: Transparency - how did we establish current framework?
How did we first establish the 9/10ths voting rule?
How do we choose who moderates the GA?
How do we start a committee and choose who will lead it?
How did we choose who runs Facebook/twitter/this website/etc.?

Transparency - how did we establish current framework?
Also, how are moderators elected and staffed to oversee the GAs?
I feel that these questions haven't truly been answered due to the fact that so few of us use the website. If you're still monitoring this topic in the future, skeptical, I'll be sure to ask some of the moderators about the nature of these decisions.

I'm actually working to review all the minutes that have been posted and put together a summary of every formal decision that has been made. I'll probably separate it into procedural and non-procedural decisions. This will take a few more days.

I call out all early participants and organizers of OC to disclose positions, motives, and, if still relevant, history of the format and goals. I call for this because, as this is a movement from the grassroots and therefore self-started, it is critical for all new members joining to feel connected.
Then, it needs to be prominent on the front of the site so that there is no confusion. There is too still a lot of confusion. I'm more than willing to help, but we have to get connected and communicative!!!

We also need to really encourage the use of real personal information. It's one thing if you are simply a supporter, but if you take on a position with any level of authority, then you should provide real information. This is a simple matter of accountability, if you are hiding your identity, what else are you hiding? Maybe nothing, maybe not.
There are many people that do not attend the GAs, this is not a matter of weather or otherwise. This is simply because they have other obligations, whatever they be. They should not be condemned for this and they should not be kept in the dark.
Let's work together to make this, what we'd like to see in society. We must be ENTIRELY TRANSPARENT, there should be NOTHING SECRET. We are not committing a crime, we are exercising our human rights, if you believe in it, put your name on it.
