Current Committees

Can we go ahead and make a heading for each committee as listed during the meeting at 7pm? See below:

 

Food & Organization Committee - help maintain order of space and monitor supply levels
Secretariat Committee - overseeing the info station, processing incoming donations, taking and reporting GA notes, coordinating GA agenda based on formal proposals received, implementing organizational procedures, currently acting as treasurer
Outreach Committee - focuses on all aspects of outreach including distribution & design of materials, reaching out to other organizations including unions, and message strategy
Housing Committee - coordinating temporary sleeping arrangements in addition to a long-term permanent solution
Arts & Recreation Committee (needs more people) - creative protesting, yoga sessions, music...
Education Committee - dedicated to sharing information of the people with specific knowledge of what's going on with others/new comers
Tech Committee - monitoring, updating, and expanding the website
Press Liaison Committee - primary contact for media and interviews
Security & Safety Committee - in charge of keeping sidewalks clear and making sure site is safe

 

Note, that we are planning on creating a page on the website with a formal list of responsibilities of each committee along with contact information. These are just brief summaries based on my personal understanding.

Would it also be possible to take a picture of a representative from each committee and post online by the listing? A board with these photos available at the occupation site would also be useful for newcomers who want to get involved.

We also need a finances committee. I will be at Monday GA with a few suggestions.
