LGBTQ community and Occupy

I am a part of a class at Roosevelt University about the occupy movement as a whole.

I am doing my final paper on the connections between the LGBTQ rights movement and the Occupy movement, and how Occupy became a new platform to aid in advancing LGBTQ rights.

would anyone here have any hands on experience with the involvement of the LGBTQ community here in Chicago?
