Lifting Spirits
Chicago honors Gaza's children

Saturday, December 31
1:00 pm
The Bean, Millennium Park

Join Chicago Movement for Palestinian Rights on Saturday, December 31st in honoring Gaza's children with a mass release of balloons. These balloons will be released in the memory of over 300 Palestinian children killed during Israel's invasion of Gaza from December 27, 2008 – January 18, 2009.

One balloon will be released for every child that was killed in Gaza. There will be a card tied to every balloon with each child's name and description. The balloons are 100% biodegradable and the cards will be made from flowerseed paper. So wherever they land, these cards will plant seeds in the ground that will bloom into beautiful flowers in the spring. This is our way of paying tribute to the memory of each child.

The event will begin at 1:00pm at "The Bean" in Millennium Park. We will provide the balloons. Come, and bring your friends and family!
