Anyone intersested in reaching out to Evanston Quakers?

Jeremy Lynch sent a message using the contact form at http://occupychi.org/contact.

Hi Spiritual Affairs Committee,

I'm Jeremy (one of the Jeremy's from the Direct Action list-serve). I was invited by a co-worker to come to the Evanston Friends (Quaker) potluck this Sunday to discuss my experiences at Occupy Chicago. My co-worker said many in their congregation had questions about the Occupy movement, and wanted to talk to someone first-hand.

I plan to attend but also wanted to see if someone from Spiritual Affairs was interested in attending as well in order to give perspective to the Spiritual Affairs side of the Occupy movement, particularly in Chicago. I think the perspective would be great and it would be a great opportunity for outreach and networking as well. Here is a link to their website: http://evanstonquakers.com/

If anyone is interested, let me know. Thanks y'all!

Peace,

Jeremy

Jeremy, I think my housemate--Josh Medlin--would be interested and he's a member of the Evanston Friends. But he won't be returning to Evanston until late Sunday evening, so will miss your presentation. Feel free to email me at riegle@svsu.edu if you want his email. Thanks! Ro

Could we please have a report on how this activity went? How receptive were they to what you had to say? What kinds of questions did they have? Are they planning to get involved in Occupy Chicago or Occupy Evanston or both or neither? Etc. Thanx.
