Conflict Resolution is not law enforcement, nor do we act as a judge or jury. We do not set any rules/laws although we strongly advocate all forms of non violence (non violence of speech as well as actions). We attempt to remain impartial in order to hear all sides of a disagreement, and to help people try to understand each other and to be heard. We are here as a support.

We will be having Peace Circles to help people communicate face to face, with non partial facilitation. A Peace Council would be slightly different; it would be to decide upon a recommendation to the GA (for removal or other suggestions) in the event of serious violations of trust.

Please take a moment, if you have not done so, to read our little blog on the forum’s committee page. Feel free to contact us if you would like to talk or have questions. Please keep in mind we are a small committee right now, and we do not have a regular space to meet for mediation (peace circles).

Last night I saw laughter, hugging, and consensus building in action. In spite of all the problems (and any group is bound to have growing pains) I see hope and a lot of wonderful people doing good work! Thank you all and a special thanks to Abel for his input.
