[Contact form] Help with Conflict

Postby nonlinear » Sun Dec 04, 2011 10:51 am

Kyle Miskell\ sent a message using the contact form at http://occupychi.org/contact.

Hey, this is Kyle. What is the procedure for setting up a conflict resolution intervention meeting? There was an incident last week where I corrected an Arts and Rec committee member about putting up incorrect information on the events page for the Terra Firma event. When I did this, that individual became very angry and a shitfest ensued. Now, every time I post anything on any forum this individual finds it and starts making very aggressive accusational posts, attacking the work I am doing, and questioning if I am doing it right. This leads to all the Google Group work I try to do for Occupy turning into infighting brawl posts. I was hoping to set up a conflict resolution session with me and this individual. How do I do this?

Thanks,
Kyle

Hi Kyle,

Rebecca has replied to you in the google group. Question: is the person you have the conflict with willing to meet? It's often best to talk to each person individually regardless if they are willing to meet or not. Either you can ask the other person to call/email us or we can contact him/her.

If that person sees this on here please call 312-810-2601. No one here wants to judge you and if you are angry that is understandable. We are here to help.
