Yes, we knew they were coming for us, but this scoop in Chris Hayes, MSNBC "Up" show documents the evidence specifically. http://openchannel.msnbc.msn.com/_news/2011/11/19/8884405-lobbying-firms-memo-spells-out-plan-to-undermine-occupy-wall-street. According to this report, a John Boehner-affliliated lobbying firm already has offered up plan to the American Bankers Association to swift-boat the movement and smear any and all political leaders who support us. The memo that Hayes got asks an $850,000 for starters. Hayes himself says that there must be lots of other such dirty tricks campaigns in the offing, this being only one case in which news media got hold of specific memos, names, etc.
Okay. it's no challenge just to figure this out. It's time people here in the 99% movement to counterattack just as swiftly -- preemptively where possible. First off, everyone should read/watch this. We don't want to be blindsided like John Kerry in 2004. What can we do to organize a media "truth squad" or "info strike force" in all media? Make a plan. Don't let it just happen, then react when it's too late. Yes, they will try to make dirty words out of Occupy and 99% because they fear us and because these already have become memes. For starters, we should hang another meme on them - "swift boaters." Suggestions?
