an idea:

building yurts? look into getting materials donated, and find the carpenters and artisans within our group?

winter is going to be ROUGH, and a pop-up tent will surely lead to frozen protestors (which will not help our movement).

Where do you reach anyone in OcccupyChi who is coordinating housing for those who aren't or can't sleep out.  We have room in our house; we live along the Metra line west of the City. Would that help anyone?

Once a significant amount of snow falls, we could build "Protest igloos". No major material costs and they use a natural resource.
