The Occupy Festival is Officially Endorsed by the Occupy Chi

The Occupy Chicago General Assembly voted to put its support behind the Occupy Festival. The festival is being organized autonomously by SolidClarity LLC. Half of all after-cost proceeds will go to Occupy Chicago.

The Occupy Festival will take place on May 12th and 13th, 2012 in Chicago’s Union Park. The Occupy Festival will be an event which incorporates music, art, community and social awareness which will channel the momentum of the thousands of individuals who will be looking to peacefully organize within the city of Chicago during the month of May in a positive and constructive way. The festival will also act as a fundraiser for the occupy movement by donating at least 50% of net profits for actions to bring greater awareness to the issues which we face as a community and society at large.
