Currently no new proposals have been submitted to Secretariat.  We are working with presenters from last week that were unable to make it, and discussing our options for our voting GA notes.

I posted a proposal to the forum and sent it to secretariat@occupychi.org Sunday morning:
http://occupychi.org/phpbbforumforum/viewtop ... =10&t=2159

The Press Committee has already been getting calls from the media about our new space. We would like to invite them in for a one-time tour on Sat. Jan 28. In addition, we believe the corporate media should not be welcome in our new space, and offer the guideline below for consideration.
________________

1) Members of the corporate media are NOT WELCOME in our space, unless they are invited for a specific event such as a press conference.

If a member of the media is to enter the space at a time other than that, info about the reporter's visit will be posted clearly in the space several days in advance, and all individuals in the space at the time of the visit will be notified before the reporter enters. No cameras or recording devices of any kind can be used by reporters in the space, except during the one-time media tour.

2) The Press Committee would like to host a press conference and tour for the media at our new space on Sat, January 28 at 2pm. This date should give us enough time to breathe some life into the space, and is on a weekend, when more Occupiers will be available to attend. The purpose of this press conference is to:
a) Drive donations, both material and cash
b) Show our strength and unity, with representatives attending from area, neighborhood, campus and suburban Occupations
c) Highlight our current organizing and plans for Chicago Spring

Why are corporate media members not invited to the open house? Not very transparent and it appears you have somthing you don't want them to see. Occupy is not what I thought it was.

Our new space needs to be a safe place where people can gather and organize without fearing a reporter will be looking over their shoulder. We want the press conference to come the weekend after the open house so we have time to get the space "occupied," before we should it off.

I have to call BS on this. I emailed this request over on Sunday and posted the proposal on Monday. I have not heard back from anyone. Hawk is coming into town special for this so I expect to see it on the agenda, per request.

Email on Sunday:
Hi,

I will be posting this proposal online in a little while for this event to be endorsed by OC and for it to be placed on the calendar of events and have SM promote. Hawk would like to present if he can make it out next weekend. If not, I will. We are asking to have the presentation put on the agenda for Friday (as Hawk can only be here on weekends) with a vote on Saturday.

Please respond to both Hawk and myself directly, as we are not in the GG.

Thanks!

I also sent another email confirming this on the schedule yesterday and have not heard back.
