On December 21 at 9AM in room 3107 of the Daley Center, Judge Wright will conduct a hearing on the motion to consolidate the Occupy Chicago mass arrest cases in which the defendants have filed a motion to dismiss on First Amendment grounds.

This will be the first such hearing Downtown, so if anyone decides to attend, note that the courthouse is a high-security facility. The building is heavily-populated with law enforcement. You will be searched when you enter the building, electronic devices should be silenced, recording or photographing the hearing is prohibited, and any disruption is likely to result in arrest. In the courtroom especially, the safest tactic for protesters is silent witnessing. If you decide to attend, allow yourself some time to get through the lines for the metal detectors, which can get long in the morning."
