Hi,
I'm a student School of the Art Institute of Chicago and recently a student group of mine hosted the Beehive Collective, a printmaking group that uses storytelling and visual language to tell stories about social injustices, addressing different political issues from Mountain Top Removal to Corporate Colonialism. Their presentation was really interesting and I think beneficial to us.
So, Sunday Nov 20th, they will be returning back to Chicago and have said that they could do a teach-in about their process and their work. I had seen an email circulating a while back about screenprinting workshops at the American Indian Center and I would like to get in contact with who ever it is who hosts that to see if they would be interested in hosting this group for a presentation. That or, if there is a different location we have available to us for teach-ins. I know it's short-notice, so I apologize, they just came by last week and I just thought it was a really interesting way of education and spreading information about these issues.
Thanks
Abbie
