This is really impressive! Have you contacted Occupy Wall Street and other occupies? I'm assuming you have since you are so on top of this. I think it will definitely get more high schoolers involved.

As far as March 1, I can't speak for all of Occupy Chicago (no one does) but I don't know of anything being planned for that date - not that I know everything.

Thanks so much. The site still isn't searchable, but it's had 500 views since I put it up 3 weeks ago and have about 20 schools linked. Please do "promote" it any way you can, or the Occupy Ed site. While the March 1 day of action (M1) seems to be mostly organized from New York, they're having a national conference call on FEB 5 for planning. Here's an email I got from their stronghold at the CUNY grad center:
Hey M1 planners!

As per our discussion on the last call, our next discussion will
happen this Sunday, Feb. 5 at 4:30 p.m. PST / 7:30 p.m. EST (yes, when
the Super Bowl is on.)

Please email me if you will be on the call, so I know which groups we
are reaching and whom to reach out to.

Here's a draft agenda:

-Reports from working groups
-Proposals:
*A name for our group
*Media coordination (drafting a media release)
-How to better coordinate nationally before and after M1

Please send additions/suggestions.

Talk to you all soon!
Caitlin

I'll post a new thread about it, and contact Occupy Chicago Education Committee. PLEASE GET THE WORD OUT about this. Anything on this scale needs some heavy planning and it doesn't look like Chicago schools have a website or any means of interschool communication. Hello, I've contacted the Education and Outreach committees several weeks ago but no one has replied. There is going to be another conference call on the 19th, and Occupy Education has a map and list of actions that is now ready for OccupyChicago to add to. Will someone please get in contact with me about what Chicago is doing for March 1?

Hi,

The website's getting more popular. This summer will be a big building time for the HS movement. I was just wondering about the original post in this forum: The high school Outreach program Babur mentioned. Has anything else happened with it? http://occupyhighschool.org/
