winter is a comin', proposal for open fire permits

so, i'm a member of the chicago fire tribe, we spin lots of fire. we have insurance and sometimes sign waivers when we perform in the city. it's about to get real cold and i am so concerned for the occupiers choosing to pitch tent and brave this winter through. i am proposing we look into and set about attaining a permit for open flame on site. with this permit, and a couple safeties to make sure it's well tended, we can possibly have fire pits, burn barrels, or some other form of open flame to gather around over the next few months. does anyone have experience with local law ordinances about this? i plan to talk with legal tonight and gather some more information.
