Also, @Billy, I'm curious as to what you think this movement should be doing. While I admittedly have not read every one of your posts, the only ones I have come across have been you essentially saying "no, thats stupid" to every idea. Sorry if I come off as a dick, but it's my belief that we should be banding together to say "We are a group of informed voters, and we will fight to defeat politicians who are not going to stand up and fight for us". The only way to do that is to know what we, as a group, are trying to push for.

Also, if you are in debt, inflation reduces the value of the debt.  So assuming your wages do go up (as they should in general w/ inflation) you should be better off.   One possible caveat: Hopefully minimum wage is increased inline with inflation.
