Proposal for Community Outreach Street Teams

I would like to propose a sub-committee of street teams to go to the different neighborhoods in the city (5-8 people per team) to hand out fliers and talk to and educate the general public for a few hours.Yes, much like the PETA and Red Cross people we run in to daily, but we aren't asking for money – we are asking for warm bodies to take a stand with us!

You need bodies at HQ, yes, but you also need to get the word out about what's going on. I was at a GA a few nights ago, and the speaker said 1 in 50 Chicagoans know about the Occupy movement. While that's AMAZING, how are we reaching those other 49??

Please keep me updated on this proposal. I can't head-up the street teams, but will join them every day that I can and will inform the hell out of people! I can post all updates and info on these street teams on this page, and Facebook/Twitter/email blasts and help organize meet ups. I would just need someone on the ground to help facilitate the groups.
