GA funding for trip to Washington DC

I have been trying to get a group of people together for the action in DC on January 17th, but I haven't gotten a large response. There is a bus that could be reserved for Occupy Chicago if we get 40 people together which would cost $100 a person. I have only gotten a response from like 3 people who are interested in going to DC. It is really important that we start attending big events like J17 so we can spread the word about April 7th and also to represent Occupy Chicago at other occupations. If we want people to come to us for April 7th we need to start attending their events also.

I propose that the General Assembly give $500 to a group of us so we can go to DC. The $500 would cover the cost of renting a van or car (depending on how many people can go), gas and food. So far the cheapest price I have found for a car is $17- $24 a day which comes to about $104- $140 for the rental. For a van that doubles. We would leave January 15th after the MLK event. We would be returning the 18th or 19th depending on what time we leave DC.
