Suggestion - Overseeing On-Site Food Contributions

Chicago - Damn surprised I did not know about this activity UNTIL yesterday.  I have visited twice and spoke to many super people.  I and my friends will be showing for food items to leave at the site.  

 

As a provider, I would feel more comfortable if the organization set-up a system where by two individuals that they appoint stand near the food and MONITOR it's distribution AMONG the activists...NOT the "1%" passing by and grabbing all they can.  Secondarily, I suggest one of the appointees ACTUALLY distribute the food items so that the average person does not DROP the whole container and subsequently lose all the items.(Use the outside wrapper to a bag of bagels to PUSH UP the bagel and let the individual TOUCH ONLY ONE ITEM...proecting the others from their germs.  It is flu season).

 

We need to think about providing either hand sanitizers and/or tissues - because if you are out there for any length of time, you are going to get dirty...quickly.

 

Let us try to find a way to keep ALL the participants as healthy as possible.
