(emailed to Keith 12/8 7:53 pm)

Keith,

Do you envision the GA to be held in the rectangular space alongside the
windows? What are the dimensions of that space? (Keith only responded to this question, with "150x18").

There seems to not be very many electrical or network outlets, is that true?

Is the floor carpeted?

Does it have a specified occupancy?

How are the doors secured?

Are there holes in the walls in the front?

What do you mean when you say the owner is not Occupy-friendly? Did the
broker say that? Do you see any problem with the subterfuge of claiming it's
your business? Would we be able to show ourselves after we sign the lease?

Why is the lease for only 3 months? Do you have a proposal for where we would
go the following 3 months?

Who was the previous renter?

I think you mentioned that the 2nd floor was residences . . . apartments or
condos?

Is the lease gross or net?

Thanks so much for checking into this!

900 S Wabash Don't have lease yet.
3 blocks from Roosevelt Red line stop.
3900 sq ft on ground floor!
3 month lease available.
$5500/m $16,500 total plus $500 total for utilities Heat included Furnace access through our space.
Owner doesn't know about occupy. Lives Upstairs in one of Condos If I understood correctly.
Has 5"X10" vault with electronic access for tech
Tech area has upper storage area for hardware
Open Vault has combination lock that has to be changed at our cost.
Carpet has holes where partitions were. If we replace carpet and/or vault combination we can negotiate a rent credit if we leave it.
Has Area for Arts and Rec
Has shared working washroom.
3 blocks from Harrison Red Line
3 blocks from Roosevelt Red Green and Orange line
1 block from State St bus
1 block from Michigan Ave bus

Do you envision the GA to be held in the rectangular space alongside the
windows? Yes that space is about 15’X 150’
What are the dimensions of that space? Yes that space is about 15’X 150’

There seems to not be very many electrical or network outlets, is that true? Yes not in that space.

Is the floor carpeted? Yes but it is worn. If we replace or carpet over it and leave it we get a consideration on lease.

Does it have a specified occupancy? I don’t know that answer. There is a front and rear exit.

How are the doors secured? Key for entry. Combination that needs to be changed for vault.

Are there holes in the walls in the front? Yes there were fixtures that were removed.

What do you mean when you say the owner is not Occupy-friendly? Owner is one of 1% so assumed.
Did the broker say that? No. When ask if owner new who occupy was he had no clue.
Do you see any problem with the subterfuge of claiming it's your business? I did that to get the showing.
Would we be able to show ourselves after we sign the lease? That is up to Broker and owner. Occupy broker can negotiate terms with Owner if we like it.

Why is the lease for only 3 months? I asked for three months because I thought we were negotiating for a place until March.
Do you have a proposal for where we would go the following 3 months? Back to the street or another place or extend lease. That is up to Occupy.

Who was the previous renter? Unknown.

I think you mentioned that the 2nd floor was residences . . . apartments or
condos? Condos. Owner on sight!

Is the lease gross or net? $5500/month is net. Utilities $500 for all three months.
Any more questions during stack please call me or text me at 630.450.4154 during GA

Secretariat received your message and will ensure someone reads your proposal to be considered as one of the indoor housing spaces. Just so you know the stack is going to take place on Saturday night, when the vote is. It would be great if you are available to attend. Please advise if not.

Do you have any photos of the space? If so please email them asap to secretariat@occupychi.org
