The Education Committee at Occupy Chicago have put together three important teach-ins this weekend:
Saturday Nov 5th, at the Horse (Congress and Michigan) we have:
-3pm -- "Public Housing and the Plan for Transformation: Ideology in Chicago and in the Nation", facilitated by Professor Mary Pattillo of Northwestern University.
-430pm -- "TIF's 101 -- Chicago' s Budget for the 1%,", facilitated by Chicago Reader journalist Ben Joravsky.
Then on Sunday, November 6th, in the plaza next to the Board of Trade (Lasalle and Jackson) :
-3pm -- "Marx's Critique of Capital and How it Relates to Our Current Situation", by Prof. Peter Hudis of Loyola University.
