The meeting will be this Saturday, October 22nd, from 1:30pm to 3:00pm at Grace Place (637 S. Dearborn) in the main room on the first floor. Lawyers from the NLG will give a brief presentation about the arrests, charges, and court procedure and will field any questions that any of the arrestees have. (More below)
Additionally, the NLG attorneys have agreed to represent any individual who was arrested for a small fee (they can provide representation for all of the individuals who were arrested during the mass arrest on Saturday/Sunday for their first court date). The fee is sliding scale fee from $100 – $10 for each pre trial court date. If cases go to trial, NLG will explore our options for representing folks at trial. People who are interested in being represented by an NLG attorney should make sure that they come to the informational meeting on Saturday.
