Day 9 recap

Hi all! Brief update on yesterday:

Day 9 was a rousing success. We had a great turnout, a huge afternoon march, and a streamlined 7pm General Assembly where we made significant progress. We are very close to reaching a decision on adopting the four grievances from New York, along with any necessary rewording. The list will be posted on this site as soon as the current round of voting is finalized. Again, this list will not be static and will continue to evolve.

Some fond memories I have of yesterday’s afternoon march:

  • A wedding party on Michigan Avenue lined up to high-five us. Congratulations to the newlyweds!
  • Someone at WLS-TV gave us a thumbs-up as we stood outside chanting for a few minutes. Here’s to good sports.
  • And, of course, we picked up a number of people along the way. If you see us and want to join in, please do! We’re only a fraction of the 99%, and we need you too.

If you’d like to come to tonight’s GA, meet us at the Federal Reserve Bank at Jackson and LaSalle at 7, the starting point for our march to the GA location. Hope to see you there!
